Our Church History

New Hope Baptist Church was founded in February 1982 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Huey Thomas under the leadership of Pastor Charles Calhoun. Shortly thereafter the church moved to 2.7 acres on Highway 259 south of Ore City. What started with just a handful of people has grown to a church which averages over two hundred in Sunday attendance.
